Ministries are a reflection of gifts. Your gifts are a blessing, and not just for your benefit, but for the benefit of those with whom you come in contact. We believe that within each ministry someone’s gifts find a wider purpose, producing a rippling effect that flows out to all the world. Through the purposeful sharing of your gifts, you will be brought closer to God.
James reminds us that faith without works is dead:
What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
James 2:14-17 (NKJV)
Ministries are the acts by which we give life to our faith.
