The members of Santa Clara’s First Presbyterian Church extend a warm welcome, and invite you to experience a Christ
centered church family whose mission is to reach the heart of Silicon Valley with the heart of Christ. Moving heart to heart, with Christ as Lord.
***George Floyd Action Alert from PC-USA***
We invite you to join us from home Sunday mornings at 10am for our online virtual service.
Due to heightened concerns about Coronavirus, residents of Santa Clara have been asked to limit their travels and interactions with other people.
Officials in six San Francisco Bay Area counties have issued a Coronavirus sweeping shelter-in-place mandate on Monday March 16 2020. The order affects nearly 7 million people. Residents are being told to stay at home and go outside only for food, medicine and outings that are absolutely essential. The order asks that residents stay inside and venture out only for necessities during the three weeks starting 12:01 am Tuesday March 17th. The order is an attempt to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus. (Read the order issued for Santa Clara County).
In compliance with the order, Sunday worship at First Presbyterian Church of Santa Clara is hereby suspended until further notice. Sunday School classes, nursery time, and all church events that normally occur on campus are also cancelled. In the interim, Sunday service will be streamed live online so that people can continue to come together in community within a virtual setting. Read the instructions for joining the virtual Sunday morning service.
Church members should consider continuing with their tithes and offerings to the church by sending a check directly to the church office, addressed to First Presbyterian Church of Santa Clara, 2499 Homestead Road, Santa Clara, CA 95050.
Now is the time to draw close to God in prayer, and to one another in acts of kindness and love. Remember that we do not walk this road alone. Christ is behind and before us, within and around us. We encourage each member of our FPC family to reach out to other members of the church and the broader community, to check in and perhaps offer a word of love.
Remember that God is sovereign, now and forever. Out of this situation will come the praises of His people for the miracles and wonders that He will do because of Who He is. May the Lord’s protection rest upon you and your family.
